Welcome to the Second Sighting website. My name’s Tom Wilkinson and i’m the owner. If you run a small / medium sized business and need ANYTHING doing with your site, whether you need a new one entirely, or just some improvements, I can help.

How I Work

As a one man business I do everything myself. I work from home and do not employ salespeople, which means there are no overheads for me to cover. You pay for my skills and expertise alone. I charge an hourly fee and require a deposit of 50% of what I think the total web design cost will be. You pay the rest upon completion.

Things to Remember Before You Hire Me

A few areas that people are often not clear about when it comes to web design.

Copywriting

I can do copy for you, but it’s always best if you write most of it yourself. You will know much more about your own business and will be able to describe everything you offer more clearly. I can help you shape it, and let you know exactly what kind of information the visitor to your site will need to read. I always spellcheck whatever goes onto the website and will recommend any changes to wording that I think will help your pages rank higher.

Communication

Expect a lot of back and forth communication if you want the best outcome for your site. Web design usually involves lots of little tweaks to finalise the website. You are very much part of the process and it may feel like you are doing some of the work. This is how the best websites are done. It’s worth the effort.

I prefer email communication as I have a written record of any change you want, but im happy to chat over the phone and meet in person too.
